Contents and objectives

"In this course the participants will gain an understanding of innovative information technologies that enable and promote collaboration within intra and super organizational teams during the innovation process. Following the innovation process, we will look at different technologies, computer supported methods and techniques. The class is organized interactively with a part of each lecture taken over by the students. This concept of “open lecture” is accompanied by parallel practical experience of a widespread innovation technology supporting innovative collaboration. Students work in assigned teams throughout the lecture period. Course contents include: * fundamental technologies that are innovative or enable innovation, e.g. weblogs, laser sintering, viral marketing; * current trends in web technology: AJAX, CSS, etc., reuse of content and information repurposing; * overview on the usage of innovative technologies in different industries (e.g. high-tech, service, automotive, nonprofit) and the learning goals are knowledge and practical experience with technologies which are itself innovative or enhance the innovation capability of an individual, a team, or a company
