Research
The „Ability to Innovate“ Research Initiative is a research program which aims to deepen our understanding of the innovation potential of organisations. The phenomenon under study: Companies’ pursuit of new, creative and groundbreaking ideas.
The search for new ideas, its implementation and evaluation is nothing that has been invented as recent research topic. Schumpeter emphasized already about 70 years ago the need for new ideas, i.e. the need for the combination of the before un-combined to ensure the growth of the economy. However, since then the context in which innovation happens has changed: Globalization and technological enhancement offer new opportunities but also new challenges for the creation and implementation of ideas in organisations.
